Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the most important sociological factors affecting the entrepreneurial attitude of young people. The research was applied and conducted using a survey method. The sample population was young people aged 18 to 35 years in underprivileged areas of Birjand city. The sampling method was cluster type, which was randomly selected from 6 underprivileged areas. The sample size was 376 people using the Cochran formula. Face validity and factor analysis were confirmed. The reliability of the instrument was measured using Cronbach's alpha tests and composite reliability and convergent validity. In this study, the effect of sociological variables (cultural capital, social capital, family health, family power structure, media consumption, religiosity, cultural intelligence and socio-economic status) on the entrepreneurial attitude of young people in underprivileged areas was investigated. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling and regression testing. The results of the study showed that; All variables except the family power structure variable had a positive and effective relationship with the entrepreneurial attitude of young people in underprivileged areas. Also, the greatest impact was related to the variables of social capital, cultural intelligence, media, family health, and cultural capital, respectively.
