Sociological explanation of the relationship between the feeling of relative deprivation and social responsibility (The case study of citizens aged 18 to 70 in Tabriz city)

Abstract
This article examines the relationship between relative deprivation and the social responsibility of individuals. Is relative deprivation different between women and men and if there is a difference, does this difference affect people's social responsibility or not? This survey research was done in Tabriz between 18 and 70 years of age citizens, who were sampled during 2022 by random cluster method. Collecting information through a questionnaire was done with the interview technique and the reliability of the questionnaire was checked by calculating Cronbach's alpha, which is 0.854 for the variable of social responsibility and 0.709 for the variable of feeling of relative deprivation, which indicates the appropriate reliability of the questions related to the measurement of these variables. The findings show that the level of social responsibility is lower than the expected average and the degree of deprivation is higher than the average possible in the scale defined to measure these variables. The correlation coefficient between social responsibility and feeling of relative deprivation was calculated as -0.28, which shows that there is a significant and inverse relationship between the variables. Also, based on the findings, women experience deprivation more than men, and this has caused a decrease in social responsibility among women. According to the findings, the level of social responsibility of people varies according to their marital status, but there is no significant difference between the age of the respondents and social responsibility,
