Abstract
Health represents a valuable asset of adolescents, which could be strengthened by spiritual health. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between spiritual health and general health (physical, psychological, and social) of adolescents. This is a cross-sectional correlational research. The sample consisted of 400 female adolescents from Jahrom city in 2023, who were selected using a random sampling method. Data were collected using the validated Spiritual Health Questionnaire by Dalman and Frey (2004) and the Lifestyle Questionnaire (Lali et al., 2012). Validity was assessed by examining face validity and convergent validity (AVE), and reliability was evaluated using Cronbach's Alpha, Composite Reliability (CR), and Homogeneous Reliability (Rho). Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and PLS (Partial Least Squares) software. The findings suggested a high level of general health, physical health, psychological health, and social health and a moderate level of spiritual health among adolescents. Furthermore, the results demonstrated a positive and significant relationship between spiritual health and individuals' general health. This association was also observed in each health dimension (physical, psychological, and social). PLS analysis further revealed that spiritual health explained 35% of the variance in the general health variable. Understanding this link and strengthening spiritual health alongside physical, psychological, and social health can empower adolescents to navigate the complexities of their age. The integration of spiritual health considerations into comprehensive adolescent healthcare frameworks, establishing school-based health counseling centers, forming research teams for continuous monitoring of adolescent health, inviting health professionals, and holding weekly sessions in schools for adolescents and their families are some strategies that could be highly helpful.
