Abstract
Environmental crime covers the gamut of activities that breach environmental legislation and cause significant harm or risk to the environment and human health. Illegal bird hunting is one of the most important environmental impacts in Iran and in the world. The purpose of this study is to investigate the rate of illegal birds hunting in Fereydunkenar city and its explanation with the theory of neutralization techniques. This study was conducted using a survey method and a questionnaire for collecting data. The statistical population of the study was people over 15 years of age in the urban areas in Fereydunkenar. The sample size was calculated using a Cochran formula of about 400 people. Sampling method is stratified sampling. The results of the research showed that the average of illegal bird hunting is 17.2 and it is low. The results of the multiple regression model showed that the strongest predictors of the variable of illegal bird hunting are, condemnation of the condemners (beta = 0.42), high loyalty (beta = 0.19), education (beta = -0.17) and denial of victim (beta = 0.14), respectively.
