Abstract

Cultural integration and social admission among ethnicities is one of the most trusted ways to reach social integration in multiethnic society of Iran. Using a sociological approach, this thesis assesses the extent of intercultural sensitivity and its associated factors among Kurds and Turks of the city of Qurve. According to the theoretical sextuplet model of intercultural sensitivities of Milton Bennett, in the theoretical framework, a conceptual framework has been designed and main hypothesizes have been designed according to it. Using survey and questionnaire, the thesis has been done on 400 subjects of Kurds and Turks in the city of Qurve.
The results of the research signify intercultural sensitivities among Kurds and Turks of Qurve, though; intercultural sensitivities have been more among Kurds than Turks of Qurve. The results of the research also show that increasing amount of relations as well increasing extent of knowledge and familiarity among ethnicities reduce intercultural sensitivities. In sum, the mentioned elements and the elements of income and religion explain 48 percent of changes of intercultural sensitivities among studied groups.
