Sociologists have long been interested in the study of the relationships between members of families. Also, in the last decades, sociologists and scholars in social and human sciences have shown an interest in the study of the effects of globalization on the micro and macro structures of societies. The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between globalization and the division of labor inside the family in Tehran, Shgiraz and Isfahan. To do so, the writer first reviews the related literature in Iranian and international publications, and then proposes a synthesized theoretical framework based on Giddens and Robertson theories. The writer, using the survey method, studies married women of the three cities mentioned as his population under consideration, who are selected systematically at random. The findings show that the variables awareness of globalization, decision-making at home, political participation, lifestyle, social capital and cultural capital on the whole account for 36.1 percent of division of labor at home.
