In this paper, the factors affecting the attitude of youth toward immigration have been examined, using a survey method and questionnaire. The sample under study consisted of 892 young people from Shiraz. The theoretical framework of the research was based on the theories of Giddens, Bayen, Izen, and Lee’s theory of immigration and the experimental method of research was designed based on their theories and the previous experimental models. Based on this theoretical framework, a model was proposed for the examination of the factors, which was analyzed using the softwares Liseral and SPSS. An analysis of the proposed model shows that the variables benefits of immigration, gender, social identity and the views of the reference group (family and friends) directly affect the attitude toward immigration. The variables the time spent on the media, age and lifestyle indirectly affect the dependent variable. The model has explained 49% of the variance of the dependent variable. The paper ends with some suggestions.
