Abstract
Traditionally, the human being has been seeking to define and identify himself, his tribe, ethnic group and nation and also to discover his differentiation from others. The concept of identity was in fact a response to the questions “who” and “how” to be identified.. The present writing seeks to study the concept of identity in the political discourses of contemporary (1284- 1390) Iran has been studied through Foucault genealogy. The objective of genealogy is the pure description of events in which a subject is created, identified and appears as aprobable issue.
the data is collected documentarily and by using authentic and scientific books and resources. The concept of identity in the political discoursesof contemporary (1284- 1390) Iran has been analyzed through Foucault genealogy.
The results of the study suggests that in spite of the fact that the final goal of the dominant discourses is to build a permanent, identical and comprehensive identity and assuming a uniform identity is determined by dominant political discourses, and despite the fact that the dominant political discourses are trying to equalize the concept of identity according to their own political ideology, however; they mix Actors of different layers and create various, impure and unstable identities.
