Abstract

The importance of the role of leaders in promoting the health of employees is so great that in recent years the concept of "health-oriented leadership" has entered scientific discussions. Considering that the theory of health-oriented leadership based on strategic reference points has received less attention in past researches, the alignment of its strategies based on reference points has been examined, in this research, we design of the framework of health-oriented leadership strategies based on the theory of strategic reference points in government companies active in the electricity industry. In terms of purpose, this research is applied-developmental in which the qualitative methods of Grounded theory and Qualitative content analysis were used to design the framework. The statistical sample of the research included 24 academic and executive experts in government companies active in the electricity industry, who were selected by purposive sampling. In this research, in-depth interviews were used to collect data. Based on the findings of the research, health-oriented leadership strategies were identified in 4 categories, including measures to managing the quality of life of employees, occupational measures, management and leadership style, and environmental strategies. Also, the results showed that the Managing the quality of life of employees with leadership based on internal relations, job actions with rational leadership, management and leadership style with leadership based on human relations and environmental strategies with open leadership are aligned.
