The Study of Relationship between Gender Identity and Trust among Young People in Tehran

Abstract

Trust is a fundamental prerequisite for the development of economic, social, cultural and political of society. Trust, human development and blossoming of the talents and abilities, facilitates and makes him relationship with others and the world in a creative and prosperous relationship. This study seeks to identify contexts for building trust in the community. One of the factors, has been diagnosed with gender identity. This study uses the theory of Giddens and Tajfl about identity and trust, the survey examined relationship between gender identity and trust among 384 young men and women in Tehran. The results can be seen between personal gender identity, gender identity, community, youth and confidence, significant and direct relationship. Multiple regression analysis have shown that three variables (gender identity, personal, social, gender identity and gender) 41% of the dependent variable changes (trust) have explained. Path analysis diagram has shown that a person's gender identity variable than other variables have more impact on trust.
